Gabriel set for stint in England

Shannon Gabriel looks set to spend the summer in England playing in the Northern League.

Barrow Cricket Club has contracted the strapping Trinidad and Tobago fast bowler for the new season in the hope of winning the title.

Borde - HPC proving valuable

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – West Indies A Team manager Colin Borde has reiterated the value of the Sagicor High Performance Centre, noting it played a key role in the recently concluded A series against Bangladesh.

He said the institution, based at the 3Ws Oval at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus in Barbados, was helping players add a new dimension to their game.

Bonner praises Sagicor HPC

North Sound, Antigua – West Indies A Team centurion Nkrumah Bonner has praised the Sagicor High Performance Centre for improving his cricket.

“The HPC has changed us as players for the better, it is a great programme for the development of young cricketers and I improved physically, mentally and in my skills department as well during the time I spent there,” said the Jamaican all rounder about the West Indies Cricket Board programme based at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies in Barbados.

HPC bat in 2nd Super50 semi

 

PROVIDENCE, Guyana, CMC – Sagicor High Performance Centre won the toss and chose to bat in the second semi-final of the Regional Super50 tournament against Jamaica on Thursday at the Guyana National Stadium here.

Miami, FL - ESPN Caribbean will telecast LIVE the two semifinal and final matches of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional Super 50 2011 on October 26, 27 and 29 from Guyana National Stadium in Providence. Each match will begin at 1:30 p.m. local time.

The semi finalist in the Regional Super50 Tournament are host Guyana, powerhouse Jamaica, Caribbean Twenty20 champions Trinidad and Tobago and the Barbadian-based Sagicor High Performance Centre Team.
